This Blog is intended to be a developmental dialogue about the practice of Situational Leadership. If you are an invited guest to the Blog, you are welcome to join in the conversation, to challenge the concepts, and enter into all-out debate if you want.
I've created the famework for Situational Leadership, founded on 10x principles. Only Self-Aware leaders can be skillful when it comes to leading in any and all situations. The practice of situational leadership deepens the skills of the leader. We improve in our capacity to lead in any and all circumstances through practice.
The first element of Situational Leadership is Situational Awareness.
Situational Awareness is dependent on getting to Situational Accuracy. This is when the observer (the leader) sees the overlap between my view, others view, and the data (the facts) of the situation. Only then is situational accuracy present. The leaders job is to bring clarity to all participants so situational accuracy is recognized.
The process begins with our own observation. What do we see, with nothing added?
Next we inquire to understand how others view the situation. Using dialogue it is necessary to sift through the interpretations and get to observation from the others involved in the situation.
Finally, available data is gathered and added to the conversation.
We than can work to arrive at situational accuracy.
I'll add more detail to these concepts in later posts.

Situational leadership concentrates on supporter development as a key determinant of the leaders concentrate on assignments over connections.
